Dr. Jeeban Amgain is a Former Executive Director of the Academy of Innovation for Economic Development (ACAIED Nepal). He completed his Ph.D. in Economics from Kobe University Japan under a Japanese government scholarship (MEXT) in 2017. He is also the founding director of World Connections Incorporation Japan and Vice President of the National Economic Concern Society Nepal. He has several years of teaching experience in various colleges in Kathmandu, Nepal. He also worked as an officer at the Planning and Development Department of the Securities Board of Nepal from 2010 to 2013 and Research Assistant in Kobe University from 2017-2018.
Dr. Amgain is an Emerging Young Economist and has expertise in Public Finance, Econometrics and Macroeconomics. He has sound knowledge of economic forecasting, project management and data analysis. His area of interest includes development economics, agricultural transformation, innovation and economic growth, and budgetary policy.
He has attended dozens of international conferences held in the USA, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Nepal. He has also published articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He frequently publishes articles in national newspapers and online portals. He is a key person for ACAIED Nepal for project planning and international partnership.
